Mr Deepak Gupta is the Founder and Chairman of The Denita Group of Companies, Singapore. The Group manages a portfolio of highly liquid actively managed and passive funds which invest in various asset classes in the public financial markets worldwide.

Deepak is also the Joint Group Vice Chairman of The Greenways Group of Companies, Chennai, India. The Group handles dry containerized and breakbulk cargo in various locations within India. The Group owns and operates container freight stations, container yards, breakbulk cargo stockyards, and trucks and trailers. In addition, the Group provides services in customs clearance and freight forwarding.

Deepak started his professional career working for student business clubs and university engineering departments. He then worked in his family business in shipping and logistics. Subsequently, he worked with global companies in consumer and industrial products. Since becoming an entrepreneur, he has founded, built, and sold, various companies in the property, shipping, and logistics sectors. He has many years of full time work experience across sectors, geographies, functions, and responsibilities.

Deepak completed high school from St Xavier's College (Mumbai). He holds a BS (Double Major in Engineering and Business) from Carnegie Mellon University, a MBA from INSEAD, and an Executive Education Certificate from Columbia University.

At INSEAD, Deepak is a Member of the Advisory Council, the International Council, and the Circle of Patrons. He is a former Member of the Board of Directors and the Campaign Board, and a former Chairman of the Nominations and Compensation Committee.

At Carnegie Mellon University, Deepak is a Member of the College of Engineering Dean’s Advocacy Council and serves as the Joint Chairman of the Membership Committee. He is also a Member of the Highlands Circle.

Deepak is a Member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and served 6 consecutive years on the Singapore Chapter Executive Committee. He is a Member of the Chief Executives Organization and serves as the Singapore Chair. He is a Member of the Family Business Network and serves on the Singapore Country Committee. He is a founding Member of Tiger 21 in Asia. He is a Member of the International Council at the Yong Yoo Lin School of Medicine National University of Singapore. He is a Member of the Indian Business Leaders Roundtable Singapore Indian Association.

Deepak has studied and worked in Asia, Europe, and North America. He is fluent in English, French, and Hindi.
